Delray
Dunes Golf and Country Club offers one of the best-conditioned courses
in South Florida,
a Pete Dye designed course first opened on December 1, 1969. Mr. Dye has helped
us keep the course up to date over the years. The superb 18-hole championship
course suits our members perfectly. Golfers love the open access to the tee and
the fact that it's always easy to get a game. A round of golf generally takes
less than 3 ½ hours. The practice facility is close to the 1st and 10th
tees. There is a full-swing practice tee with target greens, a short game area
with three target greens and a bunker, and a large putting green. Our senior
tour professional, Bob Murphy, resides on the property and often uses the practice
area when he is not playing on tour or announcing.

Under
the guidance of the original golf course architect, Pete Dye,
many improvements have been made to the Delray Dunes course.
The changes, some strikingly obvious and impressive, and others not so visible
but just as important, were designed to improve the playability of the course,
while considering the ages and abilities of our membership. New features add
challenge for the more aggressive and lower handicap golfers.
